User Review - Flag as inappropriateThis book tells the story in exceeding clear detail of how to set up a staggered grid, finite volume CFD code and eliminate pressure from the momentum equations using the author's SIMPLE (Semi Implicit Pressure Linked Equations) method. The emphasis is on a general method for coding transport equations of which the momentum equations are just a special case. With these tools the reader is equipped to write their own code or at least to understand the approach used in almost all commerical CFD codes. This is a crucial text in CFD by one of the founders of the discipline.
User Review - Flag as inappropriateThis book is so expensive, there are only 200+ pages. But I have to say that this is a good book.
User Review - Flag as inappropriateOne of the easiest and most concretely presented books for engineers working on coding up a research CFD program. Focuses on the SIMPLE (Semi-Implicit Pressure Linked Equations) method. Author takes a very physically intuitive based approach to developing finite difference codes makes; I wore out my copy working on Fortran codes for MS-studies.
