Outdoor Education: Theory and PracticeOutdoor Education focuses on the educational value of learning in the outdoors. It provides teachers and youth leaders to use skills of party management, leadership, planning, problem-solving and motivation to enhance the safety of young people engaged in adventurous outdoor pursuits, while at the same time 'buying in' specialist instruction. The framework of learning and support offered by the educators will be similar for most activities and it is their responsibility to provide a valuable learning experience. This will include aftercare to ensure that students gain ownership of their experience. |
