Front Cover
2 Reviews
The Rosen Publishing Group, 2006 - Juvenile Nonfiction - 112 pages
Pythagoras, known to us primarily for the Pythagorean theorem that bears his name, was a Greek mathematician and philosopher. He was interested not only in math but made advances in astronomy, music, physical science, medicine, and many other areas as well. This authoritative volume shows that Pythagoras still has the power to inform and inspire a life lived for the love of knowledge. Helps students understand and describe the enduring contributions of important Greek figures in the arts and sciences per history-social science content standards.

Very insightive to pythagoras' life. Quite helpful for school assignments and what not, this preview of the book may not be as helpful as the actual book because the preview is missing a hundred odd pages or so. Recomended.

Review: Pythagoras: Pioneering Mathematician and Musical Theorist of Ancient Greece

User Review  - James Piper - Goodreads

Most know the name but I suspect they know next to nothing about him. In fact, little is known with any certainity. Records are sparse. He influenced math, music, religion, cosmology. Perhaps he was the starting point of these studies. Too bad more wasn't known. Interesting read. Read full review
