Saw the movie, but the book is even better. Her writing puts you right there on the ancient streets of Rome!

She thinks how I do.
The reasoning, thought process and style of this writer absolutely matches mine when I'm trying to figure stuff out. But, she has a way of delving so deeply into things with such a well rounded instinct that a lot of times I find that she is describing and answering my own inner most questions and solving my own dilemmas. What an intuition-full masterpiece. Just what I needed for my own well rounded journey. Something every woman should read.

very interesting and a page turner

Nice, light read. I would love the freedom to travel the world, and while a spiritual journey with that kind of freedom could be hard to relate to, it was well written and enjoyable.

Enjoyable read. Couldn't decide if I liked the author or not. Admire her adventurous desire to go places, meet people, have new experiences. But also blown away by the seemingly directionless quality of her life, and almost frantic desire to have someone show her "the way". Gullible and naive in the extreme: in dealing with situations, life, people. Throughout, wanted to slap her up side the head and tell her to grow up, snap out of it! Ah, well. That's what made the book interesting. My horror at an uncontained life. She's a good writer and written a good story. 

I read this book and saw the movie before I took my trip to Madrid, Spain over the summer. Like Liz (the main character and author), I used my trip to find the balance between fulfillment and spirituality. This book is all about the mission of "finding yourself".

Very boring travel story of a boring women. I never got anything from this book, and gifted it to one of my friend's daughter.
