This moving and emotional piece gives great insight into the racial situation in the 1950's, both the blacks' situation, the whites' situation, and misconceptions both had about each other. This book will grip you like a novel, and while some parts do get tedious and hard to pay attention to, the book as a whole is interesting and deep. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, no matter your interest in or knowledge of the time period. This book is also available from the iBook store in case you are wondering
