About the author (2004)

Jean Otte is the founder and CEO of WOMEN Unlimited Inc. Formerly the first female corporate vice president for National Car Rental Systems Inc., she is a sought-after speaker, having spoken at events such as Avon's and IBM's Women's Leadership Forums, Harvard's Women in Business Conference, and the Professional Women's Business Conference. Jean and WOMEN Unlimited have been featured on The Early Show, CBS, CNN, and NBC, and in Barron's, Fortune, Fast Company, the New York Post, the New York Times and Working Women. Born and raised in the United Kingdon, over the past 40 years, Jean has worked with major organizations such as Gillette, the Bell System, McDonald's Corporation, and Nation Car Rental Systems, Inc. She is a former Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award examiner and past president of the Society of Consumer Affirs Professionals (SOCAP).
