About the author (2011)

Robert Dimery is a writer and editor of 1001 Songs You Must Hear Before You Die. He has contributed to many books on classic albums and singles, as well as a wide range of popular music publications. He has also worked for a wide variety of popular magazines such as Time Out and Vogue. Michael Lydon was the founding editor of Rolling Stone. He is now a pop music writer and a "talking head" on radio and television. He has worked with music legends such as John Lennon, the Rolling Stones and Johnny Cash.
