its fantastic book

For my work in Autelic (http://www.autelic.org) I was interested to hear how profitable business could be made that also helped poor people in developing countries.
This book has extensive reviews of a reasonable number of successful projects, all of which are interesting.
In the "book" part, it describes some thought processes and mental changes, and practical changes to business that need to be made for the Bottom-of-the-pyramid people (BOP).
I feel it falls short of being a good "guide" in that sense (maybe not a goal, or too unrealistic a goal?) but is an OK read (a bit repetitive in bits, and can be a little boring) and the whole story and case-studies are inspiring - more in the facts and the fact they exist than in the way they are described. i.e. they are inspiring in themselves, the writing is not.

O modelo que ele propõe é um modelo de negócio de inovação que promove a disruptura, atendendo necessidades de consumidores de baixa renda. O conceito, a la Christensen, é que você provoca disruptura atendendo uma necessidade que os consumidores têm e que ainda não foi atendida, porque os produtos e serviços atuais são muito caros ou complicados de serem usados.
Mais Schumpeteriano, impossível.Acho eu.
