About the author (2012)

Lauren O'Farrell is a writer, traveller and giant squid wrestler, who founded Stitch London, the UK's woolly Godzilla of a knitting community and runs it as Head Woolly Godzilla Wrangler (official title). She is also rumoured to be sneaky stitching graffiti knitter Deadly Knitshade, of Knit the City fame. though she will neither confirm or deny this if you ask. She lives in London, UK, with five cats and Plarchie, an 8-metre knitted squid. She works from the Fleece Station studio in Deptford.
