Poems of Love and Life as seen through the eyes of the heart

Velva Darnell Waldman was born and raised in the mid-west to parents who instilled in her the belief that you can achieve anything you want in life as long as you remain honest to yourself and to others. At a young age Velva began a career in music and has enjoyed every mile it's taken her. After signing her first major recording contract, she traveled mostly with her own band, working as a solo act and on occasion worked group shows where she appeared with some of the greats. With a sincere love for travel and performing, music has been as major part of her life and she's been blessed through the years with a very supportive family and fan base. Velva enjoys all forms of creative writing. And going hand in hand with singing a pretty love song is writing a pretty love poem. Aside from poetry, she's written many, many song lyrics and is in the process of completing a series of children's books.
