Calling on his brother Alex - a banker at a Zurich bank - for assistance Nick soon finds himself juggling Alex's problem: the murder of his boss and a world-wide money laundering scheme the bank has been running. When Nick blows the whistle on the bank its main client, the New York mob, is none too happy with his interference and their loss of revenue. They demand revenge and restitution, which only Nick, with all of his gambling savvy, can provide.

This contemporary mystery novella from a Derringer Award winner provides plot twists and terror, action and adventure, revenge and romance, and just the right touch of humor.

Cathi Stoler's mystery novels feature PI Helen McCorkendale and magazine editor, Laurel Imperiole. Stoler’s short stories include a 2015 Derringer Award winner, "The Kaluki Kings of Queens," published in Family Matters from the Murder New York Style series (Glenmere Press). Her stories are also published in the Criminal Element anthology Malfeasance Occasional: Girl Trouble; Fresh Slices and Murder New York Style, both from the Murder New York Style series. "Fatal Flaw” (Beat to a Pulp) was a finalist for the Derringer Award.
