About the author (2000)

Sarah Kane was born in 1971 in London. Her first play, Blasted was produced at the Royal Court Theatre Upstairs in 1995. Her second play, Phaedra's Love, was produced at the Gate Theatre in 1996. Her short film, Skin, premiered in the fall of 1995 through Britain's Channel Four. She is currently under commission to the Royal Court, RSC, Sphinx Theatre Company and British Film Institute. She now lives in London.
