The Politics Today Companion to the British Constitution

Front Cover
Manchester University Press, 1999 - Political Science - 164 pages
This companion to the British Constitution was born out of the view that the tendency for modern political studies to concentrate on processes rather than structures, results in a failure to understand the basic political terminology. Teachers and writers assume a knowledge on the part of others that may well not exist. This means that students coming to politics for the first time often do not have the basic vocabulary with which to understand the subject. This book provides that vocabulary.
