About the author (2002)


Jo Billingham has worked as a freelance writer and trainer since 1988. A writer of business-to-business communications, her experience has covered most types of organizations including the manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries, the public sector, and financial services. She runs both in-house and public courses for all ages and levels of experience in various aspects of writing (business writing, editing, reports, minutes, letters, press releases) as well as presentation skills. This book draws on her extensive experience of the difficulties in editing and revising texts. John Seely, the series editor of the One Step Ahead series, is an experienced author and teacher of English who has worked in education at all levels from primary school to university. His publications include The Oxford English Programme, The Oxford Guide to Writing and Speaking, and Everyday Grammar.
