This text has been fully updated to include the new Standards from Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) and takes account of the variety of contexts within the Lifelong Learning Sector. Assessment theory and practice forms an integral part of the knowledge and understanding required to achieve the UK's Qualified Teacher, Learning and Skills (QTLS), and this book functions as a practical study aid and friendly introduction to this broad and complex subject area. It includes research summaries, case studies drawn from across the curriculum, and activities to encourage trainees to reflect on and develop their own views on assessment practice.
