Didn't get to finish reading but the understanding i gained from what was able to digest was more valuable than anything that i could have asked for. Now many may say oh he hated Caucasians ,but i say that you have to first look at whst he was srnt to prison for to begin with... At the age of 28 sentenced to a term of 1 to life just for robbery which only $70 dollars was taken. Could have only did 1 year but ended up dying there 11 years latter. Dispite the rumors lets look at the history of that era. If being incarcerated now could easily turn soneone into and animal what do you think after knowing your history , the system back then would do to soneone mentality??? Im up for debation .... I was given a wake-up call because after reading what i did , not on no i hate the white man level but on a level that made me hate the state of mind i wad traped in. How at age 20 sonething i wasnt able to verbally articulate things I felt was right and that i believed in. I felt stupid and that made me take charge of my life and educate myself. Also gave me the understanding that we came so far only to move right back into a mental slumber.... George Jackson didn't know how to read or write but became a scholar by educating himself. Im not lolking at anything other thrn what im supposed to look at and high light. And thats the fact that through it all he still was striving to make a positive change for the BLACK community... ✊ by: Ken G Jarvis. Ig visionary_1985
