After raising six children of her own, in addition to being a stepmother to four and a grandmother, multitasking is Kris’s way of life. She shares the reality of living her hectic life in the celebrity spotlight, touching on topics that will resonate with women everywhere—love, loss, marriage, divorce, motherhood, and faith. Kris talks about her marriages to Olympic champion Bruce Jenner and Robert Kardashian, the late father of her four oldest children—and how it was Bruce who finally helped end the Kardashians’ messy divorce so they could all move forward as a family. She writes with candor and vivid insider detail about her close friendships with Nicole Brown Simpson and O.J. Simpson, as well as Nicole’s murder, its aftermath, and the infamous trial. She also puts her oftencontroversial parenting style under the microscope as she relates the details of her decision to make her charming family into an international brand with a blockbuster reality television franchise.

Once I began reading this book I could not put it down until I finished. I also enjoyed pictures of the family. After telling my daughter and daughterinlaw about the book they are now anxious to read it. A great story and and a wonderful presentation of the story. Read full review

Let me start off by saying that this is the first time I have felt the need to write a book review. I have watched "Keeping up with the Kardashians" in the past because I have always been so curious about the "Kardashian empire". I knew that Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob (and their father), were respectable human beings who are down to earth and level headed, but I wasn't so sure about Kris Jenner & Kim Kardashian's character. I thought,"Yeah, Kris & Kim may be a bit snobby, but that doesn't mean they are necessarily self-consumed, selfish individuals who lack empathy for the less fortunate." So I decided to buy Kris Jenner's book before I made my final evaluation.
I read her book for two reasons; one, because I wanted to see what Kris Jenner's world was all about, and two, because I am a Communication-PR student (Sr.), an aspiring publicist, and a writer. I wanted to see what I could possibly learn from her, if anything at all. Unfortunately for her, her book was HORRIBLE!
1) It was poorly written. Her punctuation and use of words are TERRIFYING! It is evident that she does not have a college education, and is not the brightest crayon in the box. The book didn't "flow" like good music to my ears. Instead, I stumbled on her awkward writing skills. You would think someone would have stopped her from publishing such a mess. Where in the hell was her editor???
2) She is the craziest NAME DROPPER to walk the earth!! She drops celebrity names throughout her WHOLE book!!! It's clear that she has suffered from insecurity issues her whole life. People who are sure of themselves, would not drop as many names as Kris did in this book, in their entire lifetime!! She clearly has a low self-esteem underneath all of that designer attire, and under all of that glitz & glam. If at her age, she feels the need to name drop, it goes to show that she still has a lot of growing/maturing to do. I pray that she "wakes up and smells the coffee" for her own good. Unfortunately, some people never change.
3) She admits that she is vicariously living through Kim, and that she believes they are "twin spirits"; clearly, this is true. Kim is the sister who needs the most attention, hence she is insecure as well.
4) I didn't read the front cover flap until I finished reading the book. The part that put the cherry on top for me read, "But what have Kim, Khloe, and the rest of the Kardashian clan got that we haven't got? Off-the-charts beauty, millions of dollars, and Kris Jenner--the superstar mom and manager who made them into the family we can't resist."
LOL! I am convinced that Kris & Kim are insecure, selfish FAME WHORES! I wonder why they are best friends?! It all makes sense now......
