Light on Life: An Introduction to the Astrology of India Light on Life brings the insight and wisdom of Indian astrology to the Western reader. Jyotish, or Indian astrology, is an ancient and complex method of exploring the nature of time and space and its effect upon the individual. Formerly a closed book to the West, the subject has now been clarified and explained by Hart de Fouw and Dr. Robert Svoboda, two experts and long-term practitioners. In Light on Life they have created a complete and thorough handbook that can be appreciated and understood by those with very little knowledge of astrology.

Ridiculous portrayal of Leo, the mighty and fierce LION of the Zodiac and its only natural predator. Everyone with a shred of common sense knows that a lion is the epitome of STRENGTH AND COURAGE. So the idea that a lion or Leo is "more bluster than courage" is laughable. I advise that anyone who believes such nonsense to get inside a cage with said lion and see for yourselves if a LION is not strong or courageous.
Leo is ruled by the vital and powerful Sun, rules the Strength Tarot Card, and rules the 5th House of Hobbies and Sports (not just children, theatre or the arts like these inexperienced astrologers try to portray!). Leo is also the main sign associated with Hercules and was the near invulnerable Nemean Lion who bit off Hercules' finger!
Tell us again that this sign is not courageous. A lion can defeat and devour a bull. I suggest that these astrologers get their facts straight before daring to spout such nonsense about the Zodiac's ONLY natural predator again.
Aling with Aries and Sagittarius, Leo is also a physical fire sign and part of the warrior or kshatriya caste.
One of Leo's earliest descriptions even in Vedic Astrology is "fierce countenance, destroyer of enemies, strong and courageous, and frequents solitary places like deserts and forests."
These astrologers need to use some common sense and get their act together.
