Sergeant Gabriel Caruso arrived in the remote Yukon wilderness with one goal: to erase all memories of the serial killer who had ruined his life. But he soon discovered that the madman was hot on his heels and after anything that touched Gabe's heart. Including local tracker Silver Karvonen.

As Silver plotted with Gabe to stop their predator, she matched more than wits with the Mountie. Even the icy tundra couldn't muffle the heat simmering between them. But for Silver and Gabe, love could very well be a matter of life and death.

About the author (2012)

Linda Conrad jumped at the chance to change careers to write for Silhouette Books back in 2002. She's appeared on the Waldenbooks bestseller list many times. To date, her novels have been translated into more than sixteen languages, sold in over twenty-two countries and have won numerous awards, including the 2007 Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Award for Shadow Force.

Linda grew up in sunny South Florida and learned to tell stories at an early age. When she and her true-life hero married, they moved to five cities in seven years! They eventually settled down, and Linda began her first career as a stockbroker and certified financial planner in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. After her mother had a disabling stroke, Linda and her husband moved to southern California to be nearby, and there Linda began her writing career. After her mother's passing, Linda and her husband moved back to South Florida and now live near the Florida Keys.

Though her life is crammed with writing projects, Linda manages to find time for family, reading on the beach, boat riding and her favorite hobby—shopping! Linda has a secret passion for NASCAR and roots for her favorite drivers whenever she gets the chance!

Adding suspense to her emotional love stories has taught Linda a lot about the looking deep to find the truth that lies within us all. She's found that taking a journey to the truth can be one of the most challenging voyages in life. Reading a Linda Conrad book is like discovering a world you never knew.
