His most recent books are Democracy in Latin America: Political Change in Comparative Perspective and Talons of the Eagle: Latin America, the United States, and the World. Andrew Selee is director of the Mexico Institute at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, USA. His publications include Decentralization, Democratization, and Informal Power in Mexico and the coedited US-Mexico Policy Options for Confronting Organized Crime.
