New Library Press, 2020 - Art
Uno-Due is a series of publications focusing on the Beautiful Game and its reverberations on art, society, and culture. Every volume picks a common thread which artists, photographers, illustrators and essayist follow more or less loosely. This time Uno-Due explores the personal effect that football has on the world. Every collective phenomenon is made up of pieces of individual lives. Soccer is no different: each of us experiences it in a unique, personal way. Like a cultural butterfly effect, expressions, stories, and rituals, ripple forward and trigger global consequences. It's impossible to understand the outcome without investigating the process. It's Personal explores explores how soccer shapes our lives, ideas and thoughts, and our view of the world. And vice-versa. Printed in the EU on Munken paper and in a lush laminated flexi-cover edition. With contributions from: Umberto Saba, Peter Aleegi, Yoshinori Mizutani, Paolo Carelli, Kevin Ross, Paz Diman, Antonio Segna, Emily Ryall, Case Jernigan, Rob Low, Federico Floriani, Daniel Greenfeld, Dalila Lorefice, Gabriele Lungarella.
