About the author (2009)

Born in Glasgow in 1953, Sharon Mail was a full-time journalist and now works freelance. In 2008 she won the Writers' Summer School Diamond Anniversary article competition. She is a former Scottish Association of Writers' Public Relations Officer, and has run several writing workshops and courses.
