Champions Of Change: Inspiring Resilience & Hope

Front Cover
The 2025 Bangkok Patana School Spoken Word Poetry Showcase celebrates the power of youth voices in driving positive change. Under the theme Champions of Change & Voices of Influence: Inspiring Resilience and Hope, students in Years 7–9 explore global issues such as climate action, peace, and reducing inequalities, inspired by historical and contemporary changemakers. Their poetry collections reflect personal connections to these figures and their character traits, using words as a tool for advocacy, resilience, and global citizenship. This anthology showcases the students' poems for performance and their creative journeys, honed through research, collaboration, and practice, as they transform their ideas into compelling spoken word poetry that sparks action and inspires hope.

About the author (2025)

This poetry anthology was compiled, edited and designed by Purnima Ruanglertbutr (Ms Ghogar), Secondary English Teacher at Bangkok Patana School, spoken word performance poet and author. As the founder and facilitator of the Spoken Word Poetry Showcase programme at Bangkok Patana, she has guided students in developing their confidence, creativity and voice through writing and performance.

The poems are authored by Year 7–9 students at Bangkok Patana School, created as part of the Spoken Word Poetry Showcase Extra Curricular Activity programme. Together, we have produced not only a record of youth voices in poetry, but also a celebration of youth perspectives - proving that no one is too young to make a difference.
