THE

JUVENILE

ENGLISHMAN'S LIBRARY.

EDITED BY THE

REV. JOHN FULLER RUSSELL, B.C.L.,
INCUMBENT OF S. JAMES'S, ENFIELD.

7

Under this title a Series of Works has been published, which, while maintaining the same principles as those of the popular collection, entitled "The Englishman's Library," are adapted to a younger class of readers. The original Proprietor having transferred his interest in the Series to another Publisher, and a previous change of Editorship having also taken place, it is thought desirable to announce to the Subscribers that, in the future volumes, the same principles will be strictly adhered to, which have obtained for "The Library" so much favour. It will be the aim of the present Editor to put forth such Works only as shall tend to develope with simplicity and integrity the youthful English Churchman's character; and he is happy in being able to state that he has succeeded in retaining the valuable assistance of several of the former Contributors (including, as he trusts, the late respected Editor), and also in securing the aid of others in all respects qualified for such an undertaking.
