Ashgate Publishing, Ltd., 2008 - History - 322 pages
The purpose of this study is to reattach the history of the English metrical psalter to that of the Reformation in the 16th century. It contends that the composition of 'The Whole Booke of Psalmes' forms a record of the very different stages of the Reformation and that its authors were engaged in shaping the nature of the Reformation.
