Here lyeth interr'd the body of Frances Hanch, wife of Thomas Hanch, gent. of Chatham, who departed this life the 1st day of October, 1704. aged 18yeats. Also Mary his mother, died the 18 day of October, 1720. aged 86 years. Also Elizabeth his wife, died the 28th day of September, 1720. aged 41 years. Also lVIary, Thomas, Matthew, and Thomas, issue by the said Elizabeth. Here also lyeth interred the body of Thomas Hanch of Chatham, gent. who departed this life the 4th day of january, 1722. aged 51 years. Here lyeth the bodys of Samuel, and Edward, and Elizabeth Lawrence; Wh departed this life the 24th of March, anno 1671. Near this place lyeth the body of Lawrence Wright, esqn who after many figm" servises at sea in time of peace and war, was by pattent apointed one of the comiffioners of the navy. He was in the course of a long life, and various Changes of time, loyall to the crown, zealous for the church, a true friend, liberal to the foul to God, and departed this life on the 27th of November, 17r3._aged 73 years, ' ' majesties yard at Chatham, who departed this life October the roth, 1'724. aged 67 years. Also the body of Mary his wife, who departed this life IVI-ayithe 21d, I7io. aged 50 years. On a pillar, near the former, on a small white marble Monument, are these arms, viz. Gules, a cross etwcen four umcorns heads erafcd Or, impaling sable, three bars urgent; and this infcription. Near unto this place lyeth interred the body of Mr. Robert Lee, who after many years faithfull service to the Crown in feverall stations, and particularly r8 years as _master...
