set in motion before the time pointed out by nature,
and both mind and body are ever after feeble.
When children arrive at a more advanced age, it
would be useful to make them read a short lesson,
and then transcribe it from memory; afterwards let
them copy the original, and let them remark the
mistakes they have made.
