I had to read this book for school and while i was not excited to read it, i was surprised how the messaging fits in with today's society.

Frankenstein
Characters in book-Frankenstein, Victor Frankenstein, Dr. Henry Clerval, Elizabeth Lavenza, captain Walton.
Setting- begins in Russia then transitions to Geneva Switzerland where the events surrounding Victor Frankenstein and the Monster are chronicled. The setting switches often but the majority is set in Europe.
Plot-This iconic horror film follows the obsessed scientist Dr. Henry Frankenstein as he attempts to create life by assembling a creature from body parts of the deceased. Aided by his loyal misshapen assistant, Fritz Frankenstein succeeds in animating his monster but, confused and traumatized, it escapes into the countryside and begins to wreak havoc. Frankenstein searches for the elusive being, and eventually must confront his tormented creation.
What the book is about- The book starts with explorer Robert Walton looking for a new passage from Russia to the Pacific Ocean via the Arctic Ocean. After weeks as sea, the crew of Walton's ship finds an emaciated man, Victor Frankenstein, floating on an ice flow near death. He devises a plan to recreate and reanimate a dead body.
The end of the book- Victor dies on Captain Walton's ship while running from the monster. Then, Walton comes into the room where Victor's body is, and... At the end of Frankenstein, Victor and the monster both come to death
Thoughts on the book- I thought the book was great it had turning points, characters, and places and everything a book needs to be great.

Excellent book, its a bit of a drag and goes on and on a bit well for about 7 chapters in all if you can handle that many, but when the monster details his adventures it kicks up again and keeps you really engaged.

FRANKENSTEIN by Mary Shelley is really one of the best horror books I have ever read. It is a spine-chilling book about a ferocious monster and his maker Mr
. Victor Frankenstein. The story takes many dreadful turns in which the monster ends up being a killing spree. It is having a perfect scary set-up.
