"Whether, as the Laws now ftand, there be a "fufficient Remedy to prevent the Inconvenien"cies mentioned in the Claufe of the Bill, which "has been now read, in respect to Drawbacks?"

"And that the Judges had excufed themselves from "anfwering that Queftion, upon Account of the Difficulty of the Cafe; and as it is a Question which they "ought not to anfwer, it being likely the Cafe would "come before them in the Courts below; and other "Reasons by them given in the Committee."

Hereupon, the Houfe being moved, "To appoint a Day, ❝to take this Matter of the Judges into Confideration:" After Debate;

The Question was put, "Whether this Matter, "relating to the Judges not anfwering the above"faid Question in the Committee, fhall be taken "into further Confideration To-morrow Morn"ing?"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament affembled, That To-morrow, at Twelve a Clock, this Houfe will take into further Confideration, the Matter of the Judges not answering the Question put to them in the Committee of the whole Houfe, upon the First Claufe in the Bill relating to Drawbacks; (videlicet,) "Whether, as the Laws now ftand, there "be a fufficient Remedy to prevent the Inconveniencies, "mentioned in the Claufe of the Bill, which has been "now read, in refpect to Drawbacks."

The Houfe (pursuant to Order) was adjourned during Pleafure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intiLondon, &c. tuled, "An Act to prevent the Dangers which may "arife, from bringing great Quantities of Gunpowder " into London or Southwarke."
