WHITEHALL, April 15. The Queen has been pleased to give and grant unto Major Charles Nasmyth her Majesty's royal licence and permission that he may accept and wear the Imperial Order of the Medjidie of the Fourth Class, which the Sultan hath been pleased to confer upon him as a mark of his Imperial Majesty's approbation of his distinguished services in the defence of Silistria, and during the campaign on the Danube, in the year 1854.

WAR OFFICE, April 17. The Queen has been graciously pleased to give orders for the appointment of Colonel Alexander Murray Tulloch, Unattatched, to be an Ordinary Member of the Civil Division of the Second Class, or Knights Commanders of the most Honourable Order of the Bath.
