Council assembled, Owners of a Mill and of many Estates, situate on and adjoining to the River Avon, near unto and affected by a certain navigable Canal now making from the River Kennet, near Newbury, in the County of Berks, to the River Avon, at or near the City of Bath, on Behalf of themselves and all others interested, taking Notice of a Bill depending in this House, intituled, “An “A&t for enabling the Kennet and Avon Canal Com“ pany to raise a sufficient Sum of Money to complete the said Canal, and for amending the several A&ts for the same;” and praying, “That they may be heard by themselves, their Agents or Counsel, “ against the said Bill, and that the same may not pass into a Law:”
With a Bill, intituled, “An Aćt for making Provifion for such of the Sub-Registrars or Deputy Registrars of the High Court of Chancery, as from Age or Infirmity shall be afflićted with permanent Disability, and be incapacitated for the due Execution of their Office; and for making further Provision for the Two Seniors of the said Registrars, for the Clerks in the Registrars Office, for the Master of the Report Office, and for providing additional Clerks in the Report Office of the said Court; and for making other Payments and Regulations in respect of the said “Offices;” to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Bolton and to Bury, in the County of Lancaster, under $.". their Corporate Seál, taking Notice of a Bill, depending against : in this House, intituled, “ An A&t to enable the Com: “ pany of Proprietors of the Canal Navigation from * Leeds to Liverpool, to make a Navigable Cut, and
also a Collateral Branch or Railway in Manner therein mentioned; and to borrow Money for those Purposes; and for completing their Works, and otherwife enlarging the Powers granted by the several A&ts, * for making the said Canal;” and praying, “ That “ they may be heard by themselves, their Counsel, and “Agents, against so much of the said Bill as affects the “Rights and Interests of the Petitioners:”
