The Lord Walfingham reported from the Lords Committees, appointed to confider of the best Means of ventilating this Houfe, and to report," That the Committee "had met, and confidered the Matter to them referred, "and had received a Report from Humphry Davy, Pro"feffor of Chemistry at the Royal Institution, on the "Subject (which is thereunto annexed); the Committee "are of Opinion, that the Plan therein proposed should "be carried into Execution under the Superintendence "of Mr. Davy, with as little Delay as poffible."

Which Report, being read by the Clerk; ORDERED, That the faid Report be taken into Confideration on Thursday next.

The Earl of Liverpool (by His Majefty's Command) prefented to the House a Petition of Effex Ker Spinfter, commonly called Lady Effex Ker, eldest Daughter of Robert Duke of Roxburghe deceased, and eldeft Sifter and One of the Two Coheireffes of John late Duke of Roxburghe, to His Majefty, claiming the Titles, Honours, and Dignities of Duke and Earl of Roxburghe, Marquis of Beaumont and Cefsford, Earl of Kelso, Viscount Broxmouth, and Lord Ker of Cefsford and Cavertoun, together with His Majesty's Reference thereof to this House; which Petition and Reference were read by the Clerk, and are as follow; (videlicet)
