Upon reading the Petition of Francis Earl Landaff; setting forth, “That the Petitioner's Father, Francis “ Earl Landaff, was, by Letters Patent under the Great * Seal of Ireland, bearing Date the 22d Day of Novembor, in the Thirty-eighth Year of the Reign of His present Majesty, created Earl Landaff of Thomastown, in the County of Tipperary, and sat in the Parliament of Ireland as such : That the Petitioner is eldest Son and Heir of the said Earl, and upon his Decease succeeded to his Titles; and therefore praying, That his Right to vote at the Election of Peers, to fit and vote on the Part of Ireland, may be admitted by their Lordships:”

A Petition of Sir Mark Wood Baronet, Lessor of the Defendant John Doe, in a Cause depending in this House upon a Writ of Error, wherein Thomas Morris is the Plaintiff, was presented and read; setting forth, “That “ the Petitioner having brought an Aćtion of Fjećtment “ in His Majesty's Court of King's Bench, wherein John Doe, on the Demise of the Petitioner, was the Plaintiff, and the above named Thomas Morris was the Defendant, Judgment has been given therein for the Plaintiff; and the said Thomas Morris having thereupon brought a Writ of Error returnable in Parliament, the Record was transcribed, and brought up with the said Writ into this House on the Seventh Day of June instant: That the Petitioner apprehends and verily believes, that the said Writ of Error is brought merely for Delay, and to prevent the Peti

tioner's having the Effect and Benefit of the said “Judgment during the present Session of Parliament; “ and therefore praying, That their Lordships will be “ pleased to appoint a short Day for the Plaintiff in Error to assign Errors or Error, or that their Lordships will make such other Order in the Premises, as to their Lordships, in their great Wisdom, shall seem meet:”

A Petition of Robert Farrer, Defendant in a Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein Robert Wood and others are Plaintiffs, was presented and read; setting forth, “That the Petitioner having in Trinity Term “ last recovered final Judgment in His Majesty's Court of King's Bench against the said Plaintiffs, in an Action of Debt for Three thousand two hundred and eighty Pounds, together with Twenty-two Pounds ten Shillings Damages; the said Plaintiffs brought a Writ of Error thereon returnable in His Majesty's Court of Exchequer Chamber, which said Judgment was affirmed without any Argument in Easter Term “ last, with Fourteen Pounds Costs; and thereupon the “ said Plaintiffs brought a Writ of Error returnable be“fore their Lordships, and the Record having been
