Dedicated "To the Vertvovs and chaste maiden, Mistresse Eliz. C. daughter to the Worshipfull Rob. C. Esquire." This tract has been attributed, entirely (as it seems) without authority, to Nicholas Breton. A copy is in the Bridgewater Library, and one or two others are known. The description of the game called barley-break, which occurs here, is reprinted in Popular Antiquities of Great Britain, 1870, ii. 293. NAAMAN.
