This volume, the contents of which are of considerable biographical and illustrative interest (many of the letters being addressed to relatives and intimate friends), has an introductory epistle, dated May 14, 1657, by Sir John Pettus to the Editor, Anthony Loveday, the deceased author's brother, followed by the said Editor's dedication to his cousin, Mr. William Crow of London, and his nephew, Mr. Anthony Loveday of Cheston. There are several short copies of verses on the portrait, &c. LUCIAN.
