How seldom we see boys and girls trained along perfectly natural lines, so that they develop the power of spontaneity and self-expression! Their natures are warped and twisted by being compelled to do things, instead of being so led that they want to do them, are anxious to do them. The normal boy and girl, if properly trained, will not need to be forced to do things. They young mind longs for activity, and for expression, but if spontaneity is repeatedly crushed out by compulsion, ambition may be ruined and the power of self-expression lost.
