"Disinterested intellectual curiosity is the life blood of real civilization" says the G.M. Trevelyan, the author of Social History of England. I commend this book for those who are ignorant of how Brahmanism became "Hinduism"" by imposing varnashrama dharma" which is the bane of the Indian society. But it is not without bias. Our authors have to go a long way to conform to the high standard prescribed by G.M.Trevelyan for historians.
