January 7, 1859. The Secretary of State for War has received the following List of Casualties in the Army serving in India.

Return of Killed, Wounded, and Missing, of Troops under the immediate command of His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief, in Action at Buxar Ghaut, on the 24th November, 1858.

Mead Quarters, Camp, Badour, November 25, 1858. Her Majesty's 6th Dragoon Guards—5 horses

killed; 3 non-commissioned officers, rank and

file, 10 horses, wounded. Detachment 6th Madras Light Cavalry - 1 horse

killed; 1 horse missing. 1st Seikh Irregular Cavalry—1 rank and file, 3

horses, killed; 2 horses wounded; 2 horses

missing.

Her Majesty's 5th Fusiliers—1 rank and file wounded.

Detachment Her Majesty's 20th Regiment—5 noncommissioned officers, rank and file, killed; 7' non - commissioned officers, rank and file, wounded.

Detachment Her Majesty's 80th Regiment—2 noncommissioned officers, rank and file, killed; 5 non - commissioned officers, rank and file, wounded.

Detachment Her Majesty's 23rd Regiment—1 rank and file wounded.

Total—8 non-commissioned officers, rank and
file, 9 horses, killed; 17 non-commissioned
officers, rank and file, 12 horse, wounded;
3 horses missing.
