Excerpt from Albert Memorial Guide Book to Edinburgh and Its Environs

The suit of Athol cloth, and the heavy outside coat for winter wear, could not be excelled, and I wish that all my friends in Philadelphia were similarly provided. I shall take care to advise all friends and tourists whom I may know, to follow my course in crossing the Atlantic, if they take Edinburgh in their way. I burdened myself with no stock of raiment on leaving home, as I knew that at your place of business I could procure all I wanted, and that of the best and most enduring quality.
