The Disciple Whom Jesus Loved
The Bible tells us that "the disciple whom Jesus loved" was the author of the book that is today called the Gospel of John. But the Biblical evidence revealed in the scriptures is actually able to prove that this beloved disciple could not have been the apostle John. From the Mount of Transfiguraton to Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead, from the Last Supper to the Garden of Gethsemane, this Bible study book answers the question "who wrote the Gospel of John" - "who was the disciple that Jesus loved" - using nothng but God's Word.149 pages, including a topical index and a scripture index.

This was a very eye opening study of the Bible, using only the Bible itself to interpret the facts presented. If we accept the Bible as the Word of God, then there is no fault to be found in this method of Bible study "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness," (2 Tim.3:16).
This study reminded me of how the church persecuted Galileo for saying the Earth orbited the Sun. The Bible itself never said that, when truly studied for itself, yet everyone said it did. Same here. I cannot fault the conclusion of this book and I am fully convinced of its line of reasoning, based solely on the Bible text itself.
It is a definite wake up call to all Christians to seriously study the Bible for itself.
