containing an Account of the Sufferings of Mrs.
Johnson, during four years with the Indians and
French. The author, Mrs. Johnson, now Mrs. Haf-
tings, is still living in Charlestown, Newhampshire,
and first published her Narrative at Walpole in
Newhampshire, in the year 1796.-The fufferings
she met with during her captivity, the bore with a
degree of magnanimity that will astonish the reader
