He married Barbara, Ringgold, daughter of Major James Ringgold, ca. 1680. They had three children, ca. 1682-ca. 1690. Text chiefly follows line of descent to the author, William Joseph Lanham. He was born in 1922 at Edgefield, South Carolina, the son of Benjamin Tillman Lanham (1890-1954) and Mary Shaw Lanham (1891-1976). He and his wife, Grace, were living at Clemson, South Carolina, in 1995. |
