2. Whatever duty is commanded, the contrary is forbida
A. The sum of the ten commandments is, to love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our strength, and with all our mind, and our neighbour as ourselves.

A. The ten commandments were at first written by God himself in the Mount, and given unto Moses in two tables of stone. Deut. x. 1, 2, 4, At that time the Lord said unto me, hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount. And I will write on the tables the words which were in the first ta. bles, which thou breakest. And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments.

Deut. xi. 1, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God, and keep his charge and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments alway.

We are bound and obliged to keep God's commandments, as he is our Redeemer; because God hath rea. deemed us for this end, that being free from the slavery of sin and Satan, we might be encouraged and enabled to yield obedience unto him. 1 Cor vi. 19, 20, Ye are not your own; for ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. Luke i. 74, 75, That we; being delivered out of the hands of our enemies, might serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

A. We are bound to know, 1. That God is, or that there is a God. 2. What God is in all those glorious attributes and perfections, whereby he hath made him. self known.

A. We ought to worship and glorify God as the only right object of divine worship and honour. 1. In our minds, by thinking, meditating, remembering and highly esteeming of him.' Mal. iii. 16, A book of remembrance was written before him, for them that thought on his name. Psal. Jxïi. 6, When I remember thee on my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
