Matt. xxiv. 14. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world, for a witness unto all. nations ; and then shall the end come.

John xii. 32. And I, if I be lifted up, will draw all men after me. :

Rev. xi. 15. And the seventh angel sounded, and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our LORD, and of his Christ ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. See Rev. vii. 9, 10. Rev. xii. 10.

II. The GLORY of the CHURCH.

Pf. xlv. 13. The King's daughter is all glorious within ; her clothing is of wrought gold.

Pf. xlviii. 2. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth is mount Zion, on the sides of the north;. the city of the Great King.

Ver. 12. Walk about Zion, and go round about her : tell the towers thereof :

Ver. 13. Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces, that ye may tetl it to the generation following:

Pf. lxxxvii. 3. Glorious things are spoken of thee, city of GOD.

If. xlvi. 13. I will bring near my righteousness : it fhall not be far off, and my salvation thall not tarry ;. and I will place salvation in Zion for Ifrael my glory.

If. liv. 11. Othou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stores with: fair colours, and lay thy foundations with fapphires.

Ver. 12. And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.

If. lx. I. Arise, fhine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

Ver. 2. For behold darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people ; but the LORD shal arife upon thee, and his glory shall be feen upon thee.

Ver. 13. The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir-tree, the pine-tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my fanctuary ; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. · Ver. 14. Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee; I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

Ver. 19. The sun shall be no more thy light by day, neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee; but the LORD shall be unto thee an ever. lasting light, and thy GOD thy glory.

Ver. 20. Thy sun shall no more go down, neither fhall the moon withdraw herself; for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. · If. lxii. 2. The Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory ; and thou shalt be call. ed by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD fhall name.

Ver. 3. Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy GOD.

Rev. xxi. 10. And he carried me away in the Spirit, to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from GOD;

Ver. 11. Having the glory of GOD : and her light was like unto a stone most precious ; even like a jasper-stone, clear as crystal. See ver. 18, 21. Ver. 22. And I saw no temple therein ; for the


LORD GOD Almighty, and the Lamb, are the temple of it.

Ver. 23. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it ; for the glory of GOD did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Ver. 24. And the nations of them which are saved, shall walk in the light of it ; and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

Ver. 25. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day, for there shall be no light there. * Ver. 26. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. III. Promises of the Increase of Light and Know.

LEDGE, and of the Means of Grace. f. xi. 4. The earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

If. xxv. 6. And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people, a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees, well refined.

Ver. 7. And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is fpread over all nations.

If. xxix. 18. In that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see ; out of obscurity, and out of darkness..

Ver. 24. They also that erred in fpirit, shall come to understanding ; and they that murmured, shall learn do&trine. - If. xli. 18. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the vallies; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land fprings of water.

Ver. 19. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar,

the the shittah-tree, and the myrtle, and the oil-tree ; will set in the desart the fir-tree, and the pine, and the box-tree together. See chap. XXXV. 6, 7, 8.

IS. lii. 7. How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publifheth peace, that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation, that faith unto Zion, Thy GOD reigneth.

Ver. 8. Thy watchmen (hall lift up the voice ;, with the voice together shall they fing; for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.

IS. liv. 13. And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD.

Dan. xii. 4. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

IV. Promises of PURITY, HOLINESS, and Right


18. iv. 3. And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Žion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy ; even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem : .

Ver. 4. When the LORD shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof, by the Spirit of judgment, and by the Spirit of burning.

If. xxxii. 15. Until the Spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest :

Ver. 16. Then judgment shall dwell in the wil. derness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.

If. xxxiii. 5. The LORD is exalted, for he dwell-eth on high : he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness. - Ver. 6. And wisdom and knowledge shall be the


Atability of thy times, and strength of salvation : the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

If. xlv. 8. Drop down ye heavens from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness ; let the earth open, and let them bring forth falvation, and let righteousness spring up together : I the LORD have created it.

Ps. lxxxv. 10. Mercy and truth are met together : righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Ver. 11. Truth shall spring out of the earth ; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

Ver. 13. Righteousness shall go before him, and shall set us in the way of his steps.

If. lx. 21. Thy people shall be all righteous ; they fhall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

18. lxvi. 11. As the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it; to spring forth ; so the LORD GOD will cause, righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Mal. iii. 43. He shall fit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD, an offering in righteousness.

Ver. 4. Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerufalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

Pf. lxxii. 5. They thall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

Zech. xiv. 20. In that day fhall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD ; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowls before the altar.

Ver. 21. Yea, every pot in Jerusalem, and in Judah, shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts; and
