V. Promises of PEACE, LOVE, and UNITY.

If. ii. 4. And they shall beat their swords into plow-shares, and their spears into pruning-hooks : nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Ifa. xi. 6. The wolf also fhall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard fhall lie down with the kid ; and the calf, and the young lion, and the fatling toa gether, and a little child shall lead them.

Ver. 7. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall cat straw like the ox.

Ver. 8. And the fucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child lhall put his hand on the cockatrice den.

Ver. 9. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain.

Ver. 13. The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off ; Ephraim fhall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

Pf. lxxii. 3. The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills by righteousness.

Ver. 7. In his days shall the righteous flourish ; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endur. eth. John xvii. 20. Neither pray I for these alone, but

Ver. 21. That they all may be one, as thou, Fa. ther, art in me, and I in thee; that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe thou hast sent me.

Ver. 22. And the glory which thou gavest me, I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one.

Ver. 23. I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that thou hast fent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Eph. iv. 15. From whom [Chrift] the whole body fitly joined together, and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body, unto the edifying of itself in love.

of the Enemies of the CHURCH. Pf. cx. 2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion; Rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

Ver. 5. The LORD at thy right hand shall strike through kings, in the day of his wrath.

Ver. 6. He shall judge among the heathen : he shall fill the places with dead bodies ; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

If. xi. 4. He shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth ; and with the breath of his lips shall he flay the wicked.

IS. xxvii. 1. In that day the LORD with his fore and great and strong sword shall punish Levi. athan, the piercing ferpent ; even Leviathan, that



crooked serpent : and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

IS. xli. 11. Behold all they that were incensed against thee, shall be ashamed and confounded : they shall be as nothing ; and they that strive with thee, shall perish.

Ver. 12. Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee : they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. See ver. 15, 16.

If. xlix. 24. Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered ? .

Ver. 25. But thus faith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered ; for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

Ver. 26. And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh, and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine ; and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour, and thy Redeemer the mighty One of Jacob.

If. lix. 19. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

If. lx. 14. The sons also of them that afflicted thee, shall come bending unto thee ; and all they that despised thee, shall bow themselves down at the foles of thy feet ; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, the Zion of the Holy One of Ifrael.

Ver. 16. And the ten horns which thou fawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

Rev. xviii. 2. Babylon the Great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul fpirit, and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird. See to the end of the chapter.

Rev. xix. 19. And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered together, to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

Ver. 20. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image : these both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Rev. xx. 7. And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of prison.

Ver. 8. And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle ; the number of whom is as the land of the sea.

Ver. 9. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city; and fire came down from GOD


out of heaven, and devoured them. See Ezek. xxxviii. and xxxix.

Ifa. xlix. 7. Thus faith the LORD, the Redeem. er of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

Ver. 23. And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers : they shall bow down to thee with their face towards the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD ; for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.

Ifa. lii. 15. So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him ; for that which had not been told them, shall they fee; and that which they had not heard, shall they consider.

isa. lx. 3. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Ver. 10. And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee; for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.

Ver. 11. Therefore thy gates shall be open continu. ally ; they shall not be shut day nor night, that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

Ver. 16. Thou shalt suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings, and shalt know, that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
