About the author (2013)

Lionel Bender is an editorial partner of the book production group Bender, Richardson, and White, which specializes in children's nonfiction and how-to books. He is the author of more than seventy books and has edited nearly a thousand more, and frequently gives workshops in the United Kingdom and in the United States on book production. Books he has written include Eyewitness: Invention, First Sight: Whales and Dolphins and The 1993 Eyewitness Calendar.
