Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! hal! Amen!

2 So when the morning sun does shine,
Our God's glory to declare,
Shows forth his majesty divine,
And how great his mercies are.
Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! hal! Amen!

3 On instruments of sacred use,

And of grave and solemn sound, Raise joyful notes in God's own house, And let heart and voice be join'd. Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! hal! Amen.

4 God's mighty works rejoice the heart,
I'll triumph in his praise,
Whose lovingkindness does impart
Redemption through his blest ways.
Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! hal! Amen.

5 How great thy works! how wonderful! And each thought of thine how deep! And very great and merciful

Is our Shepherd to his sheep.

Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! hal! Amen.

6 Right glad the Lord hath made my heart, But fools will not understand;

K

They ne'er reflect, nor take a part
In the works done by God's hand.
Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! hal! Amen.

7 But I know Jesus reigns in heaven, Constant King, exalted high; Upon the cross his life was given For all that on him rely. Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! hal! Amen.

8 His redeeming love largely flows,
And shall spread o'er all the earth;
Salvation's sound o'er oceans goes
To bring all to the new birth.
Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! hal! Amen.

9 Jesus is God's beloved Son,

Our horn and glorious hope;

Messiah's the anointed One
That is the Christian's prop.
Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! hal! Amen.

10 Christ's kingdom it shall not decay, Nor the riches of his grace;

His stubborn foes shall melt away
When saints shall behold his face.
Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! hal! Amen.

11 The righteous man, that's blest with peace,
Shall flourish like the palm-tree;
He sings the triumphs of free grace
In songs of joy, Lord, to thee.
Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! hal! Amen.

12 Under the shadow of God's wing
He shall like the cedar grow;
Eternally sweet praises sing,
And safe to God's city go.
Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! hal! Amen.

PSALM XCIII.

1 THE Lord with majesty shall reign,
King of kings, in heaven sovereign,
In dazzling splendour pure and bright,
Set in his canopy of light.

2 And worlds he hath establish'd sure,
With orbs of light in sky secure ;
Eternal God is Lord alone

For everlasting on his throne.

3 The floods have raised their troubled waves,
But God alone from danger saves,
And makes the angry sea comply,
By his command sent from on high.

4 The stars and comets bright do shine,
And planets show his power divine;
God rides on clouds of liquid air,
Through all creation wonders are.
5 But most of all does he excel
In faithfulness and mercy still ;
A surety he for us provides
That friendly to mankind abides.
6 O! then in wisdom take delight,
For God is holy and upright;
Rehearse his praise, extol his name,
Lift up your voice in praise to him.

PSALM XCIV.

JO GOD! to whom revenge belongs,
Arise and judge our cause;
Redress our unmerited wrongs,
And quell our haughty foes.

2 O Sovereign Judge! lift
And insolence reward;

up the poor,

Let not oppressors long endure,

But humble folk regard.

3 How long, O Lord, shall wickedness Triumph o'er innocence?

How long still blast their happiness
With insolent pretence?

4 How long poor widows strangely treat? Of orphans hard things say ?

How long boast on in pride of heart,
And them oppress alway?

5 Let not impiety prevail

To hurt thy tender flock,
But let thy Spirit them assail
To break such stubborn folk.
6 Lord! pity thou the fatherless,
A father to them be,

And friendless widows in distress
Preserve from injury.

7 The slanderer says, God will not hear,
Nor shall he ever know;
But they vile fools to God appear,
And deep in malice grow.

8 The Lord he form'd the ear of man,
And shall he not them hear?
'Tis God all creatures' eyes did plan,
Shall he not see full clear?

9 But God, who no one will respect
For riches, rank, or state,
Shall he not all our sins correct
In his time, soon or late?

10 He knowledge unto man imparts
Who knows the heart of man,
Discerning the deceitful thoughts
Of every wicked one.
