There is at least one error in this book in the biography of Annie Scott Dill Maunder. Her brother John Dill Russell was NOT an astronomer but was a surgeon who practiced in London. She had an older half-brother, Samuel Marcus Russell, who was appointed, in 1879, a professor of mathematics and astronomy in the Imperial College, Peking, and in 1899 and was acting head in 1899. She was influenced in entering astronomy by another fellow student from Girton ( Alice Everett, from Belfast) who was already a "computer" at the Royal Observatory.
I love this volume as a teaching tool for high school students on how to write biographical text and conduct quality research. Each entry is proceeded by a primary and secondary source list. Excellent,
