THE Essays in this volume were published at different times in the several volumes of the new Annotated Shakespeare's Plays for School Use. They have been so heartily appreciated and endorsed, and the demand for them, even in their scattered form, has been so great, that we have thought it best to collect them in one volume, as more convenient for the use of teachers and students of Literature.
