question, p. moorey describes ( mesopotamian ) multi coloured swirl thread like glaze as pretaining to not exactly a faience but a terrasigillata. i've seen one example of this on a bowl . three colours blue , green , a red, it was like oil on water and slightly glassy. a few glaze runs. it was sparkly. it's not a tin glaze. i've searched many books on pottery, and if museums have it as faience , it looks nothing like it. can any one help.
